During the week
there is something happening almost every day here at the Tab, here is a list of our regular weekly activities.
Friends Unlimited: 11:00am - 2:00pm. Meet on the last Monday of the month in the Tab church hall for friendship and support (this includes something to eat). There is plenty of time for chat, playing games etc. Meeting the needs of the community, we aim to offer a warm welcome to folk, old and new, giving people the opportunity to get out of their home environment for a few hours.
If you are interested in attending please check beforehand, due to the overwhelming popularity of this event there may be a waiting list.
Pastoral Groups: Pastoral groups meet once or twice a month, mostly in homes, and provide an opportunity to talk about the Bible, pray and meet together in a small group. This gives space for more personal reflection on the Bible. It also allows room for prayer for the 'nuts and bolts' issues of our daily lives. One of the groups meets in the morning whilst the others are held in the evening.
UP-2-3 Parent and Toddler Group:
10.00-11.30am (Term-time). For children aged 0-3 years old (accompanied a Parent or carer).
See our Up-2-3 page for more information
Church Night - Tea and coffee from 6pm
6:00 - 7:00 pm School years 1 - 4. Come along to a club which involves games such as uni hoc, bash the bottle, parachute games, painting and other craft activities and a very short talk.
: 6:45 - 7:45pm School Years 5 - 8. Radar is packed with fun games, craft, outings, cooking and lots more! Each club we do something different. In the past we have had a cooking class, making our own pizzas from scratch. Other weeks we have had puppet making, and our huge challenge night which involved finding your way out of a giant spider web with the help of your friends!!
7:45 - 9:00 pm School and college years 9 - 13. Spin is a laid back youth club with a tuck shop, pool table, table tennis etc all available, giving young people a chance to do their own thing. We also often have a 5 min talk about life issues, for example: Bullying. We sometimes play team games, like dodgeball, but these and all activities at Spin are always optional. No-one has to join in with anything they don't want to and can always just hang out in another room instead.
We open our front doors approx every 2 weeks from 10am till 12 to welcome visitors. If you are passing by, why not pop in, say 'hello' and join us for a free cup of tea or coffee? (There are usually some cakes as well!) Check our news page for the next one.
