We meet during the main service on a Sunday morning, providing a programme for 0s-18s. We use materials produced by Scripture Union to provide a thorough, methodical, contemporary and FUN way to learn about how to be a Christian in the 21st Century.
All those involved in children’s work have a clear disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (Criminal Records Bureau).
- we meet together in the hall for ten minutes after we leave the main church service. We feel this time is important because it allows our children/YPs a sense of CORPORATE identity as one section of the church family as we nurture them through their years with us. We play games, share news, worship together and share refreshments.
(0-5's) - Structured bible activites for 3-5s and play/music/toys for all.
(5-7s) - Meet upstairs in the Pool Room. Bible studies through a range of media. Model practices of church life; worship, prayer and bible learning.
(8-11s) -Meet in the hall. Games, songs study and conversation.
(12-18s') - The Parry Room is our base but you could find us anywhere! We explore the bible and apply it to our lives in a practical, lively way. Once a month we stay in church and take notes which we then discuss at the end of the sermon.
Each of our groups has it's own specific aims and visions. However, these are linked by our mission statement for iTab;
To consciously, faithfully and intentionally educate our children about Jesus so that they in time are able to consciously, faithfully and intentionally serve him into life...
To NEED our children in our church so that the building of the Tab, and therefore the Kingdom in Lancing, creates space for the smallest of bricks.
